How do I keep squirrels off of my hummingbird feeders?

You either have to place an overhead squirrel baffle disk on top of your hummingbird feeder, or hang the feeder from a pole with a pole-mounted squirrel baffle. Either way you need to have about 10 feet clearance all around the feeder ie. no fences, trees, or roof surface within 10 feet.

I have a Lawrence Ruskin hummingbird feeder and after the first time a bird fed from it, it started leaking from the rubber tip. Any tricks to keep it from leaking?

Hi Teresa,

With any of these types of hummingbird feeders you must fill it completely each time and turn it right-side up very quickly. This will create the proper vacuum necessary to keep the nectar from leaking out. Also, try and keep this type of feeder in the shade because direct sun will cause it to leak as well.
